MEET THE FAM
RUSSELL
Hello friends, I'm Russell - a husband to Johna and Dad to Cody and Caleb. Additionally, I am the group manager and, sometimes, referee! As a military veteran, Senior Pastor, and law enforcement officer, most of my life has been committed to the ministry and servitude of others. Music has been an integral part of it. With more than 40 years involved in gospel music, I am able to enjoy one of the greatest blessings I could imagine - standing with my family and sharing the Gospel through music and song.
Johna and I have been married for 36 years and currently reside in Hokes Bluff, Alabama. We have two sons, Cody and Caleb, two beautiful daughters-in-law, Heather (Cody) and Anna (Caleb), and one grandson, Bryson (Cody & Heather). Although Johna and I have many years together in Gospel music, we were blessed to begin traveling and singing together as a family in 2018.
We love seeing old friends as well as meeting and making new friendships. We hope to see you soon!
JOHNA
Hello! I’m Johna. I’m the wife of Russell and the mother of Cody and Caleb. I am the mother-in-law of two awesome daughters-in-law, Heather and Anna, who will have the dubious honor of taking care of me in my old age. I am Rannie to the most wonderful grandson, Bryson.
Singing has always been a passion and an outlet when life became overwhelming. I began singing as a little girl - standing on the pew at church and singing to the top of my lungs. I was fortunate as a teenager and into my early adult life to sing with my siblings and Russell.
After our family began to grow, I sang at church and concentrated on raising my sons. I’m thankful now that my sons are grown, it is all of our desire to minister through song together as a family.
I love people so I look forward to seeing y’all, old friends and new friends. See you soon!
CALEB
Hello! I’m Caleb - I have been in the ministry for 8 years. Whether it be through music or preaching, it has been something I have centered my life around since being but a small child.
I had the privilege to go on the road in 2016 to travel with an award-winning nationally recognized Southern Gospel group. After being on the road for some time, I felt that God was calling me to come back home to start doing ministry with my family.
Since the formation of The Shaneyfelt Family Ministries in 2018, I have been blessed to have been a small part of what has gone from a vision to reality. I sing the Tenor for our group as well as being the pianist.
I am thankful to be able to serve God in every way I can. Gadsden, Alabama is my hometown and is where my wife (Anna) and I currently reside.
CODY
Hi everyone, I’m Cody. I am the bassist for the group in addition to providing vocals from time to time.
I am married to the love of my life, Heather, and we are the proud parents of our amazing little miracle boy, Bryson.
I have had the honor of serving in the ministry for many years now in different places and areas, most recently pastoring in Tennessee. Ministry is my heart, whether it be through music and song, standing in a pulpit, serving through an organization and its functions, or praying one on one with a soul that God puts in my path, ministry is everything to me.
When I’m not on the road with the ministry, you will more than likely find me spending time with my family, running the family business, and serving in our home church. I am extremely excited that we have the privilege to minister together as a family through whatever doors the Lord opens for us! I am looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones. Coming soon to a town near you!
HEATHER
Hello, my name is Heather. Cody and I have been married now for 10 years. I’ve been so blessed to be the mommy of an awesome little boy (Bryson) who is our little miracle.
I’m a registered dental hygienist and dental assistant.
I love spending time with my family and being able to travel with them. Since Cody is a musician in two other groups, we get to travel A LOT these days.
Being raised a preacher’s daughter/granddaughter, music and ministry has always been a part of my life. Growing up, my sister and I always sang in church.
I always felt like God was calling me to do more than just sing in our home church every once in awhile. I never dreamed I’d be travelling all over the country helping spread God’s Word through music.
I have always been such a shy person but I have been able to make many new friends that are so dear to me and love meeting new friends in our travels. God has truly blessed me beyond compare!
